I've always kinda felt like all the hoopla surrounding New Year's eve was a little much for just another ordinary night. Yes, it's the end of a year, but really is January 1 much different from December 31?
Sure there's the resolutions (which in my opinion, are overrated as well, if you're going to make changes, just do it, regardless of what day it is!). There's the huge party in Times Square, but really, unless you're there, it's not much fun to watch. Then there's the whole staying up until midnight business....
You can do it anytime! In fact, come to my house in about 99 days and keep me company because I'm sure a little newcomer in blue will be having lot's of late-night parties!
I just don't get it. Yes, every year I think of "resolutions", but always go back to the thought that I can start something new anytime! And without all the pressure of having a "New Year's resolution".
What are your thoughts? Did you make any resolutions? Did you make it to midnight? (Ps. even if parent's make it to 12:00, kids don't really care the next day when they're up at 6:00, so you might as well hit the sack at at decent hour!)
