We've reached a milestone.
At least, we're trying to reach a milestone.
You see, my Ava-girl, who will be three at the end of August, has been gee gee (pacifier) free for two and a half days. Therefore, it's been anything but quiet. Especially at 12:00am when she wakes up and realizes she no longer has her gee gee and screams herself to sleep for the next two hours. Nothing comforts the poor child.
At least her future orthodontist bills will be lower.
To celebrate, or encourage, this milestone we had a paci party on Wednesday, complete with a visit from the "gee gee fairy". I totally stole this idea from Supernanny. We hung the gee gee's on a tree and after a gee gee free nap (in which she didn't sleep) she went outside and poof! Under the now empty tree was a brand new Tinkerbell scooter! A few friends came over to party with us and we had delicious rainbow cake and lemonade. Then the littles rode their scooters around our cul-de-sac like the scooter gang they are!
Woo Hoo! We are paci free! Now if only Ava, and Mommy could get a decent nights' sleep....
That's good news and what a fun way to celebrate this milestone! Hope you get that good night's sleep soon :)
