Monday, Monday....

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday, so we decided to make him some cards this morning! It was Ava Joy's first time finger painting (I know, I'm a terrible Mommy, she's already 2 and had never touched paint until this morning!) and she enjoyed the texture, but not the taste :)

Chloe had a little help writing Happy Birthday Daddy on her card (some light physical guidance) and I was impressed that she could make the basic shape of each letter on her own!

All in all, a fun morning. But here's my pet peeve with painting and crafts with my girls: it takes me longer to set up and clean up than their little attention spans can actually do the activity!
