To celebrate his day we went to the park in the morning and then came back for a loooonnnngggg afternoon nap (his request, not mine) and then played outside all the rest of the afternoon. Low key day, but extremely sweet. His birthday gift was a swing, hanging on our front porch. That's where all the action's at these days.
I think he liked it.

I can't believe he is one. James has a swing like that and he is four and still likes it. He can climb in it by himself now and beg for people to swing him. You will get lots of years out of it, I bet.
